Cecilia Mora is introduced into the series as one of Alba's sisters. Her relationship with the other sisters are unknown, but Cecilia and Alba are estranged from each other. The reason is that Cecilia, jealous of Alba and blaming her for stealing Mateo away from her, told Mateo's family that Alba wasn't a virgin anymore. She at some point in her life married a native, Oscar Mora, who is a pharmacist. They had three sons and a daughter; one of their sons is the father of their granddaughter, Catalina Maria Mora.
