Season 2 of CW dramedy Jane the Virgin was announced on January 11, 2015. It premiered October 12, 2015 and its mid-season finale was on December 14. The show's winter premiere was on 25 January, 2016[1] and the season concluded on 16 May, 2016.[2]


Following the startling cliffhanger to Season 1, Jane and Rafael must now deal with the kidnapping of their son and the repercussions it has in their lives. Additionally, both have to adjust to their new roles as parents.

Meanwhile, Rogelio and Xiomara get to explore the new status of their relationship, while Alba will focus on moving forward from the status quo of her 'illegal' status. And Jane, courted by both Rafael and Michael, will have to decide where her heart truly lies.[3][4]
